HOUR OF CODE is a global Mentoring & Coding workshop program initiated by Code.org. We have been conducting the Registered sessions here at Nepal currently in collaboration with Ujyalo Foundation. It focuses on introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics in an hour with national and international experts.

We have designed the 2-hours long training Workshop targeted to the college students of age-group (15-29) years where they will be taught about any output based programs on different programming languages like PHP, JAVA, ANDROID, PYTHON , JAVASCRIPT etc Hour of code focuses on the workshops where the participants gets the trainings and starts coding followed by the mentors who can guide them well. Code is something that reflects the creativity that can be used anywhere includes the mobile applications to web applications, these applications are made in order to make our life easier,more comfortable and connect the world together. We can find a lot of examples these days , facebook , twitter ,google,instagram and many more. So with an objective of sharing the algorithms, concept buildings and logical thinking, we conduct the Hour of code.

Hour Of Code II

Hour of code was successfully organized by Women in STEM, It was held on 20-23rd March, 2016 and was supported and managed by Prime IT Club. It was 3 days event 2 hours each day, where students of 1st semester (BSc.CSIT and others) were given the training/workshop focused on HTML/CSS, Bootstrap which is highly demanded these days.As a FACILITATOR the event had Ms Bineeta Shrestha(B.E.IT, NCIT college) and Ms Sinuna Chaudhary (Bsc (HONS) Computing & IT from Islington College).
